Newborn Sets and Gowns - Made in Spain for First Layette and Christening
A baby's first days require special garments. At Juliana Baby, we create newborn sets and gowns in Spain with artisanal knit, plumeti, and fabric, designed for the two most important moments: the first layette and the christening. These garments have a level of finish that is evident in photographs and that many parents keep as a keepsake.
Two Formats, Two Different Moments
The collection clearly differentiates between daily wear and special occasions:
- Newborn Sets: Knitted top with a fabric bottom, many with a matching bonnet. For everyday wear from the very beginning. Available in blue, pink, and neutral tones, with several unisex models.
- First Layette Gowns: In plumeti with ruffles for warmer months, or in openwork knit with lace for christenings and dress-up occasions. Roomy, easy to put on, and with the drape needed for early days photographs.
The Perfect Gown for Every Occasion
Not all gowns are the same. At Juliana Baby, we differentiate according to the moment:
- Plumeti with Ruffle: Fresh, light, and with that classic touch that never fails. The most requested for first layette and christenings in spring and summer.
- Openwork Knit with Lace: With more body and a visible artisanal finish. The most suitable for autumn and winter christenings and for photographs that are framed.
Garments to Cherish
Many Juliana Baby customers return for their second child, using the same garments from the first. This is no coincidence: natural fabrics, well-finished seams, and timeless designs instead of fleeting trends. Newborn clothing that stands the test of time is not common. Ours does.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a newborn set and a gown?
A set is a daily wear garment made up of several coordinated pieces—bodysuit, trousers or bloomers, and bonnet—designed to comfortably dress the baby from the first days. A gown is wider and longer, with a classic cut, associated with the first layette and christening. At Juliana Baby, we have both formats in the same collection.
Are the sets and gowns unisex?
Several models are unisex, available in blue, pink, or neutral tones. These are the most requested as gifts when the baby's gender is unknown. In each product's description, you will find whether the model is unisex or specific for a girl or boy.
Which gown is most suitable for a christening?
The openwork knit with lace ones have the most appropriate finish: visible artisanal details, fabric with body, and elegant drape. The plumeti ones are fresher and also work for spring and summer christenings. All models are made in Spain with natural materials suitable for a newborn's skin.
Can I gift a set or gown without knowing the size?
The safest size for a gift is 0-3 months: it fits average-weight babies for the first few weeks and has room so it doesn't get too small too quickly. If the baby is expected to weigh more than 4 kg, we recommend size 1-3 months directly. Each product description includes a size guide with weight and height.
